Senior Producer, Full-Time

About Makeout

Makeout is a creative production company for one-of-a-kind event and experiential projects. Committed to remaining unspecialists in the IRL space, we create and produce everything from multi-day festivals with stage programming and activations to pop-ups, mobile tours, theatrical experiences, creative installations, custom objects, and a million other things that don’t seem to fit neatly into any particular category.

Since Day One, we’ve been dedicated to creating a place where people can make the best work of their career — sustainably. In an industry where overwork and burnout are the norm, we’re committed to protecting true work-life balance. You’ll spend each day in a welcoming, inclusive environment with people who give a shit about you. You’ll take vacations where you’re actually expected to turn off.

We believe in doing everything we can to help our employees lead healthy, full lives. Learn more about life at Makeout on our Careers page.

About Role

As a Senior Producer, you will lead or co-lead event and experiential productions of all shapes and sizes. At Makeout, this includes client management as well as project management/oversight, ultimately being responsible for the success of the overall production and client satisfaction. Our productions are often deeply complex, requiring your ability to envision and develop approaches and solutions even when there’s no clear “How To Do XYZ Project” handbook, and to identify and manage multiple partners, vendors and specialists to help bring the whole vision to life.

As part of the role, you may also manage freelance and full-time producers on a project-by-project basis, and be assigned Producers to mentor. You might also share departmental admin-related tasks with the Executive Producer, to whom you will directly report.
